As the head of the church embroiled in this immoral scandal, @Pontifex certainly has a lot to answer for. However, a claim from a spiteful critic, with no evidence, is not one of them.Does Vigano hold himself, Pope JPII, who is now a SAINT, +Pope Benedict to these same standards?

The key point, that Benedict sanctioned McCarrick, has been confirmed by the man who carried it out. Viganò knows he told Francis; his testimonyis the evidence; that is what “testimony” is. A lot of the rest is public knowledge.

No his testimony is only evidence if it can be corroborated does it come down to his word over Francis either way they behaved appallingly

Testimony does not have to be corroborated to be evidence. It’s nice if evidence is corroborated, of course. But plenty of people are convicted of crimes even on the basis of one person’s testimony.

More #fakenews from the @nytimes. Focus on his "conservative" views (views which are faithful to the teachings of the Church) instead of on the story he has to tell about serious sexual abuse and a cover up which leads to the Pope...typical!

So what’s new? Who knows, he may be suffering with the same sickness. The priest/sisterhood is a very abnormal life. There is nothing wrong with sexual intimacy and/or marriage for them. It is part of being a healthy human being. Ministers seem to be doing just fine with God.
