Andrew Gillum achieved a stunning come-from-behind win over 4 wealthy Democratic challengers whose personal fortunes proved no match for his compelling life story and progressive messagehttps://nyti.ms/2Ph13d2

It’s almost as if people want healthcare, income equality and criminal justice reform. Weird.

So where is the come-from-behind story about Ron DeSantis who was grossly outspent by a candidate who was in politics for over 20 years and an early favorite? You have posted about six times gushing about Gillum. Where is the appearance of balance? Dare you say #TeaParty victory?

Putnam had the GOP establishment money, Jeb Bush money, and big Agriculture money. He didn't have the Tea Party and he lost because of it.

The Tea Party wing doesn't exist anymore. It's a consolidated Trump party

That's weird, I voted for someone else. The #TeaParty does not pledge allegiance to a candidate or a party. We call out Trump when we disagree (like recent calls for regulations on social media). DeSantis has been known in our Tea Party since 2011 we share many of his views.

🙄 if Trump had said to vote for Putnam, he would have won in a landslide. DeSantis is a bootlicker. He sucked up to Trump to get his endorsement and threw out any conservative principles he may have once had.

You are probably not a fan of conservative principles anyway since you support a socialist, but one of the things I like best about DeSantis is that he went to Yale & Harvard (working to pay his way) and he went to the most corrupting city in the US (DC) & he remains conservative.

I'm really not. Many conservative policies are either morally bankrupt or logically lazy, driven more by feelings than by actual evidence. For most issues, the logic begins and ends with government is bad and anything with government is worse. No substantive argument beyond that

Matthew, when you decide that taking something that doesn't belong to you to satisfy wants and desires is morally bankrupt then we can have a discussion about morality. Redistribution of wealth is immoral and destructive to the prosperous and the poor alike.

Hope sexism is not how Gollum won. Hope it was on his own merits. He has a great story and listening to the news, the youth vote was strong. Our youth are quite color blind and gender blind.
