In remarks to evangelical ministers, President Trump spoke about religious liberty, abortion and youth unemployment — until reporters left the room. Once they were gone, he asked the ministers to use their pulpits to help Republicans win in the midterms.https://nyti.ms/2PhsxPL

Well of course. And for that, they should lose tax exempt status. And for that, they should really question if Jesus preached what they believe. 1. Did Jesus tell us to hate refugees, the poor, immigrants, the disadvantaged? 2. Did Jesus tell us to worship money like Trump does?

        3. Did Jesus tell us to get married three times and cheat on every wife? 4. Did Jesus tell us to be narcissistic? 5. Did Jesus tell us to hate our neightbors if they look different? The point is, Trump is more like Satan than any type of Christian. And these people worship him.

The so called Christian Right has turned into a cult and it's disgusting and goes against literally everything Jesus stood for supposedly. The hypocrisy is astounding to me. I know more atheists and fellow agnostics who more closely resemble what Jesus preached.

I see. So the religious leaders in USA are already corrupted by political interests. Sad thing.

This is what I keep saying....THIS WAS A CAMPAIGN DINNER WITH SUPPORTERS. @RNC / @GOP needs to pay U.S. back for every effing dime spent for this CAMPAIGN event and get them out of OUR White House!!

Any minister, be they red or blue, that uses their pulpit to influence voters should have their church lose their tax exempt status, pronto.

As a Christian who has helped call out pastors for using the pulpit to push their political agenda (even if I happened to agree with their opinion) this makes me SICK. The role of a pastor is NOT NOT NOT to wield political influence.

Separation of church and state anyone? If churches want to campaign then they should be taxed accordingly.
