The White House inexplicably flew the American flag at full-staff on Monday after lowering it on Sunday in honor of John McCain. The lowering and raising of the flag amplified the division between President Trump and McCain, who died Saturday.https://nyti.ms/2wt5r0v

It is an easy declaration to have it flown at half staff until internment. Something that most presidents have done for members of Congress on both sides.

@realDonaldTrump, as a fellow American posted on Twitter, the White House belongs to us, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE--not you!!!!!! We demand that you lower the flag to half staff in honor of Senator McCain!!!!!

38 hours later the @WhiteHouse flag is back to full staff while Washington monument & capital flags remain lowered. Barbara Bush got a well deserved proclamation from @POTUS & lowered flags until internment. It’s too bad a @GOP President can’t do the same for @SenJohnMcCain. RIP

it illustrates how petty and vindictive he is and how little control anyone has over him.

Mentioning his name constantly in the press only encourages him. He lives to see his name in the papers and on TV. We know he’s a no-class slug and don’t need to read more about him
