Last time I checked, the United State’s free market system had made our economy the envy the planet, the dollar the worlds reserve currency, and our economy second to none. We make up 5% of the world population but account for more than 30% of world GDP and 24% of consumption.pic.twitter.com/PFOZjGCUr6

Hey now. No need to bring facts into this. Just because Capitalism is responsible for wealth and freedom doesn't mean wealth and freedom are good. Having choices can be tricky, wanting to enhance your life can be hard. That means its bad. Duh. (Sarcastic)

The article was not arguing for a socialist economy. Denmark was cited as an example is not exactly a socialist economy.

You can't satisfy all people if your taking away their ability to profit. Profit isn't just monetary. You profit when you learn something or get something you want. By eliminating profit, you eliminate progress.

Duke, your life-view is pathetic. Profit is meaningless. Life is about happiness, virtue, society, community and family relationions. Not arbitrary, useless”growth” or “profit.” That is just what people with meaningless lives tell themselves to try and find meaning.

US Capitalism is NOT the role model for the world. EU is an economic world power with all the public legal benefits referred to as “liberal” or “socialism”. State health insurance, state pensions, +20 holidays, and much more. Still they prosper a better life than in the USA.
