Teachers often turn to the same tried and true books. @nytimesbooks asked writers what they'd add to the curriculum.https://nyti.ms/2P8jSz9

First heard about it from a story done by the NY Times in the 90s.where they asked 10 highly influential to list their top 10 most influential books. "Shrugged" was the 2nd most named book behind the Bible. It was on Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr. And Warren Buffetts list

Teachers always turn to the same books because those are the class sets that are available in the school library. Public schools in many areas rarely have enough money to buy new class sets of novels. Many teachers try to buy new class sets of novels with donations.

I’d add...hmmmm...this is harder than it may seem.....l’m not a writer...just a teacher I’d add a book and a movie. The book is ‘Night’ by Eli Wiesel and the movie is ‘Medicine Man’ both have an important message for our future living together on planet earth
