Standing up to the woman that called Obama a Muslim was one of the bravest things any politician has done in probably 50 years.

This man was the epitome of bravery and moral conviction. May not have agreed with him on all policies but had much respect for the man. From a Canadian, he was one of the few remaining sane and caring voices of what was once the Republican Party. #RIPJohnMcCain

I disagreed pretty completely with Sen McCain's politics but respect his integrity and strength of character and honorable service both in the military and government. May his family find peace, may he find rest. #RIPMcCain

I too disliked his politics until recently where he took Trump to task. He no longer recognized his old party. The fact that he has asked Obama to deliver part of his eulogy speaks volumes about how he reached across the isle while in the Senate and his depth of character.

It really is sad that honor and integrity have become so unusual as to be remarkable in our national politics. I fear for @GOP without this strong voice of reason.

The New York Times: “Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, & may perpetual light shine upon him - may he Rest In Peace, amen!” - this prayer should be repeated 3 times! God Bless Senator McCain - we’ll miss you!

The New York Times: “May Senator McCain’s soul & the souls of ALL the faithful departed, Rest In Peace, amen”! This is the last part, of the previous prayer I mentioned, which should be repeated 3 times, as well!❤️

I have had nothing but admiration for John McCain. The Senate has lost one of its most honorable and loyal to country. The Senate has to look around and see if anyone else is left to admire. His courage, regardless of politics, is an example for us all.
