Under the Obama administration, the EPA started taking human disease studies – epidemiology – more seriously. Agrochemical companies and the Trump administration are pushing to reverse that.https://nyti.ms/2wphc8x

A complete article, thank you. But even with the politics of the big business of agriculture (I am a horticulturist, UofG), it's very simple. My brother said it when he was 12 - "Don't drink motor oil"- There are IPM programs that do not require massive use of pesticides.

The @Bayer Monsanto case is a red flag that should have been flown 20 years ago. If we truly cared about the children of farmers, we would not be basing farming on checmical poisoning of food. That same brother of mine is now an organic farmer. There are alternatives.

Here's a story with a more unpredictable ending. It's about the future and our escalating addiction to technology, the ones who lurk in the shadows, manipulating the society we love. And then there is the twist of all twists!https://www.amazon.com/dp/1983271527

Obama far from perfect- but let's not conflate w/"good people on both sides." While your writer is an anti-Trump card-carrying member of the empirical party, I also worked for Pfizer for 13 years where the closet progressives giggled, called ourselves members of the "evil empire"
