Republicans are less likely to be educated. Not the other way around. Just because you go to school doesn’t mean you flip your position.

A deadly idea from Ditsy DeVos that skirts legislation meant to prevent funding firearms in schools. Ghastly person to oversee our education system. The WORST.

🤬 They won’t pay for certain educational programs needed in some schools?? Hard time giving teachers raises?? Won’t give them enough supplies and have them purchasing them with their own money?? But use money to provide them guns?? What am I missing?pic.twitter.com/fpd2GA03qV

Mann, I agree that school should have a better way of protecting the kids. But my gosh. There are teachers who are armed already. And don’t mind carrying. Train them. Funding is terribly mismanagement.

Outrageous. I vehemently oppose guns of any sort, especially in schools. Teachers are stressed enough, and many teens are bigger and stronger than adults!

You got that right. The students are huge. I don’t oppose guns but funding guns to the schools is a whole other beast.

Teachers with guns undermine student trust, & make guns available for students without fully developed brains, to steal a teacher's weapon, impulsively overpower a teacher, & go on a violent rampage. Teachers want to help students, not to be of Hit Squads.

I am blessed to educate America’s children. I analyze Shakespeare and refine parallel structure. I help students manage anxiety and food allergies. One thing that should never be added to this list: carrying a gun to shoot someone. If that is our best solution, we must do better.
