How so? Manafort’s conviction has zero to do with Trump & Cohen’s desperate attempts to pull Trump in are just that. Besides, nobody is in need of any more ammunition against Mueller then he’s already provided.

Now Mueller can go up and say: "Yes, this is a witch hunt, and here are some witches we've bagged."

Mueller was hired to find Russian collusion not tax evasion from 2005.

You understand neither the mandate nor rules governing the Special Counsel - YES, Russian collusion, but if in the midst of it all they see crimes, they are compelled to bring charges or refer crimes to other agencies, like the SDNY DA.

Correct, but it appears the investigation led them back to 2005 with manifort when trump was not a candidate and Cohen had nothing to do with campaign or campaign cash. Those women would have embarrassed trump family and not influenced the outcome of the election.

You're conflating the Cohen and Manafort crimes as if it were a single trial. Are you not paying attention? Had Cohen not followed Trump's directive to pay hush money to the porn/PB stars, then yes, there is no violation ... But he did b/c he believed it would impact election.

Who remembers when Trump's campaign failed to disclose the sources of 1,300 large donations, worth $1.9 million, resulting in a $375,000 fine by the Federal Election Commission for violating federal disclosure laws? Oh yeah, that was Obama's campaign. #WednesdayWisdom pic.twitter.com/hubH3tG4Up

Mr. Trump, a real disgrace is now that the crook Manafort has finally been convicted of crimes which he probably has been doing for decades, is that you are "sad"! Isn't it amazing that rich America will defend one of its own, despite a courtroom conviction for a FELONY offense?

Actually it totally looks like a witch hunt to me. Wasn’t this about Russia? Cohen’s campaign infraction is normally handled with a fine. Like when the Obama campaign was fined in 2008 for receiving $375,000 inappropriately.
