Children should never be treated like this. Her hair is more than appropriate. And it’s beautiful. Send the school officials back to school until they’ve learned some manners.

She looked beautiful.

That’s great, but there are rules don’t allow hair extensions for any girl
-
If you have this much trouble telling right from wrong nothing I say is going to help. Good luck.

What??? Private schools have dress codes. There’s Obviously a reason this was put into place. Kids don’t need extensions no matter their race. Follow rules or go to an underperforming public school where there are no rules

Why should racism be tolerated in a private school?
-
It’s actually a violation of contract law. The school changed the rules during the summer and didn’t have the students sign new code of conduct book; which would have made the agrmt. binding. Pvt schs. must contract students into policy other wise students can sue for breach

I know many people will get upset about it but the school rules leave no doubt hair extensions are not permitted. As long as the rules are enforced consistently I have no issue with the rule, not least because there are health and safety reasons for having them.
-
What in the hell could be the detriment to human health that comes from hair extensions? They aren’t dirty, unless they aren’t washed, but that goes for all hair. Moreover, a rule against hair extensions disproportionately effects black women, it’s not possible to be fair.

Health risks include: Scalp sensitivity, headaches, hair thinning, allergic reactions, bleeding scalps, hair loss.https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/2013/02/the-dangers-of-hair-extensions/index.htm …
-
Wow. None of those are contagious and don’t spread to others or affect anyone but the person with hair extensions. What you described could be the side effects of 100 different medicines. That argument is so fucking stupid, it makes me dizzy.
-
You asked me to prove that hair extensions could be a health issue. After checking over a dozen medical web sites I tweeted my response. What did you do? Get abusive. If I'm wrong then prove me wrong!
-
I’m sorry you wasted your time on an argument that had no logical base. I didn’t ask you to do that. A health issue in a school is one that can spread. Nothing about hair extensions spreads. The argument is moronic. It’s not abusive, it’s just the truth.
