Red salmon shows up in the summer and feeds Alaska residents through the winter. It has failed to show up this season in most rivers.https://nyti.ms/2MADjmz

Writer did not bother to interview even one Tribe in Alaska. We’ve fished these rivers long before settlers arrived and know their history. She did talk to a lady at Nordstrom’s though.

My tribe was deeply affected by the low runs and early closure. But, she chose to focus on and mourn all the white Alaskans. Have you ever heard an elder cry for their native food because they miss it? It’s gut wrenching. Salmon is our life. It’s part of our identity.

Normally fins breaking water surface with so many salmon. This year, none. I was wondering how it’s effecting the brown bears and bald eagles.pic.twitter.com/y6XtLaHpqO

It's incredible that the EPA is trying to unravel the protections in place. We are in serious trouble if they are allowed to do so. I live in the forest and I can tell you climate change is happening faster than they are letting onto. It's quite unsettling.

Wrong. Global warming is relative..it has been hotter for long periods in past. Climate change simply implies change-not cooler or hotter.

I thought it was a rebranding. That way in the winter if there’s too much snow or not enough snow we can just chalk it up to Climate Change.
