The verdict was a victory for the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, whose prosecutors built a case that Mr. Manafort hid millions of dollars in foreign accounts to evade taxes and lied to banks repeatedly to obtain $20 million in loanshttps://nyti.ms/2MJLVqO

But then again, I thought Mueller’s purpose was the collusion. Where is it with this Cohen and Manafort things?

If he would have talked and flipped on Trump he would have received immunity and none of this would have happened. Mueller is making an example out of him for anyone else that wants to keep quiet about the president’s potentially illegal activities

Tax fraud from more than a decade before the 2016 election and nothing to do with any Russian collusion 😂

The "silver lining" is that Trump unwittingly (as he does most things) reached a level of power/fame that brought unparalleled scrutiny and resultant unraveling of his decades-long criminal empire.

Explains a lot, Trump's refusal to release his own tax returns. Manafort's hidden millions and lies to banks is just the tip of the iceberg. Thank goodness Trump was so stupidly power-hungry, so now they'll all get caught.
