Camelia , who made you feel that way ? I have been treated badly many times in my life too, people are not always nice and really don't need a reason to be mean . Confidence is what makes people servivors not victims. Also , white is not a race .
-
My family is many races BTW. Black, Irish, German, Scandinavian, Mexican, Japanese, Taiwanese . I know a little about what I'm talking about .
-
Also, I know each culture as well as respect and love them all . I don't need to hate someone else to love myself.

People of colour really feel that way? White guy asking.
-
Yes we do. Sincerely a Mexican-American that was bullied until college.
-
Thank you. Until now the majority sounds more like "no" but also as if most answers arr from white guys like me.
-
Well that’s the issue isn’t it. White guys telling me how I should feel. Ironic. Regardless thank you for asking. Constructive conversations are how we get through this.
-
I agree. And I think one Step is that we understand - really understand- what you feel like. Thanks again.
-
No doubt. And it’s appreciated. Equality and equitably is not a zero sum game.

He probably has it a lot better than homeless black/brown guys who are regularly assaulted and murdered by police and white goons. That's the point.

That "foreign exchange student" bit struck me like a sledgehammer. I've been there. I've never really left THERE. Filipino-born, Cajun-raised... we are all Loan. Bravo on your "start", Loan!!! FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!

Wait, don't all actors center their existence on the approval of others? In any case it's good to see someone push back. Of course I can't really believe this story since NYT hired a racist and defends racist writing.
-
It’s not a “story”. It’s a personal account by Kelly Marie Tran. Just because you don’t believe it, don’t try to invalidate Kelly’s feelings.
