There are 2 wars in Afghanistan: the war of blood and guts, and the war of truth and lies. Both have been racking up casualties at a remarkable rate in the past week.https://nyti.ms/2PpzD5I

I was stationed in Uruzgan for 1-1/2 years, Zabul for 6 months & briefly in Kandahar & Kabul working for an NGO implementing Cash for Work projects. Afghan civilans are peace-loving people & they are the ones losing this atrocious senseless war.

As current situation continues the Taliban will certainly win the war becasue they have support of local people, the elites in the government of Afn, many regional countries. If the US decide to fight terror groups like what Russian and Iranian did in Syria then things change.

The question isn't "who is winning the war?" The question is "why on Earth are we in Afghanistan?"

The British retreated. The Russians retreated. Can we not learn from them? This predicament is tRumpy-ideal. He can: •declare fake victory. •celebrate with fake parade. •photo ops galore with fake smile.

What will these wars bring to our future? Children will grow up not knowing who to trust. This will breed strong people who want to bring meaningful change for the future. Also breed strong distrust and fear that terror groups could exploit for recruitment.#bringtheworldtogether
