It sounds like united States, where only few rich are enjoying the good life while majority suffer.

Congrats to the Greek people for enduring almost a decade of fiscal waterboarding aka Austerity to bailout feckless French & German banks and save Euro. Debt to GDP unsustainable at 179% and hangs like sword of Damocles. The fat lady has not yet taken the stage.

Greece managed to get onto a superfast train driven by Germany and it"s cronies. They have occupied all the first class seats and even the ones in economy class. The Greeks were forcibly thrown into the baggage cart, even though they paid the full ticket. It is time they got off.

The bale out value equates to €24186 per head of population ( 2016).Basket case of a country which was run by politicians buying votes and a population to easilly lead...the young pay for the malpractise and greed of the generation before them.

Yes, I have relatives in Greece who struggle daily. For American readers, let us not forget the nearly 45 million living in poverty in the USA, with 45% of the population of Puerto Rico in such a status.

Greece is a socialist nation run by a bunch of greeting bastards. The Greeks are at fault and now they are paying the price . The Greeks prospered under dictators. Check history, Metaxa and the three Colonels. I lived there for years. Retirement age, 55. Im Greek.

The Greeks didn't really help themselves, what with a retirement age of 55 etc. but, we all know that the 'Greek bailout' (which finishes today) was to pay back the irresponsible loans to the likes of Deutcshe Bank.
