Women commit sexual assault and sexual harassment too. But it just gets swept under the rug and totally ignored. That’s not fair and that’s not justice. I know because it happened to me.

You should sit this one out.
-
No I should not.
-
And after I was sexually harassed with constant phone calls and voicemails of my assailant sending me masturbation sounds, I was instead totally slandered on social media for using a burner account to get her away from me. That is not how this is supposed to work.
-
How are we supposed to believe you though? That’s the problem with all of this.
-
Because I have all the evidence and voicemails on my phone.
-
Women are capable of harassment and rape. You are right.
#MeToo
is about abuse of power. I’m sorry this happened to you. -
Thank you.

Hurt people hurt people
-
No they don't. Many people who got hurt don't go put to hurt others. Saying this is making up excuses.
-
The 'hurt people' adage as an explanation may help some understand the reasons behind their victimization. In some cases, it's a catalyst for healing. In others it may bring about clarity and self-awareness that stops the cycle.
-
Where are the cases that its a catalyst for healing? I'm dubious.
-
Mine, for sure. It helped me understand that what happened to me was not merely a personal, hurtful thing plotted and devised for *just* me, but also a furtherance of the same terrible shit having happened to my assailant. Ymmv, and everyone deals differently.
-
Interesting. Thank you.

If it is true then she should go down too. Fair is fair and assault is assault regardless of perpetrators gender
-
If? There’s documentation.
-
exactly. depending on the gender of the perp, the victim is not believed. if the victim was a woman, the assumption is that she is 100%victim.
#survivorculture#MenToo#MeToo
-
That’s not true for everyone and their thought process and you shouldn’t generalize that. Just like you don’t want male victims generalized Victims are victims regardless of gender
-
duh. what im saying is that people believe women victims more often than they do male victims. Im a male survivor. read my bio
