We don't live in a bubble/test lab Life happens fast & entails many unpredictable factors. Just b/c cars are autonomous it doesn't make them safer than a human driver. Some things aren't meant to be automated. Driving is one. Less distracted driving & more patience = safer roads.

Human drivers are fricken awful..Especially younger one’s ..They cause so much pain and agony for families..Autonomous cars will be at least 10 times safer

New York’s former World Trade Center (WTC) is the World Transportation Center (WTC) A new, ever-expanding, universal infrastructural system that guides & propels driverless cars will emanate from “Ground Zero” in Manhattan The word “Phoenix” occurs in Nostradamus

autonomous cars are still safer than the distracted, under the influence, inexperienced, tired, medically incapacitated humans that occupy the roads 24/7. prior to this ALL (or most) vehicular deaths were due to humans and nobody is shutting THAT down

I think self-driving cars should be illegal, and motorcycles should be banned from the freeway. We have to many unnecessary lives taken, while trying to advance technology and fun.

Was that the accident where a person just jumped in front of the car and no person would have been able to avoid it? Never mind, other companies will pursue the future any way

The only way autonomous vehicles will be viable is if they're networked, controlled by central computers. And pedestrians will need to wear transponders, so the AVs are aware of them even if their sensors don't see them.

If cars become fully autonomous, the manufacturer will be the liable party in torts. As such, I imagine the future of self driving cars will always include at least a nominal driver for liability reasons
