Well that is ridiculous. We know he is not being treated like a black person because he is still alive. #BlackLivesMatters

When you're use to being treated with privileged, being treated with equality feels like oppression.

TSA guy gave me a full body patdown, THEN ASKED ME TO GIVE HIM ONE. No wonder airport lines are so long! (Every once in a while, I'll write something that even cracks me up).

I'm just glad that Shoe Bomber never considered explosive suppositories. "Mr. Smith, pull down your pants and spread 'em, no need to be embarrassed, you have a hundred people behind you about to go through the same thing."

Now do other trump supporters who read this say “Damnit! Why’s he gotta be a trump supporter” when you get to that part of the article? (Full disclosure: I’m not a trump supporter and asking a serious question) Anyone else feel like his argument makes him seem MORE racist?

I feel like the Trump support was implied, and I’m guessing it wasn’t much of a surprise to any of them. They know their own kind.

I sure wouldn’t want him caring for my loved one. @ABIMFoundation unlikely to do anything, but I’d think the Florida Board of Medicine would suspend his license until the felony charges are adjudicated. Bare minimum, he needs mental health care and supervision.

Anger (and idiocy) is not mental illness. I think that those with mental disorder would not want their pain to be trivialised by this association.

I think there is more to his behavior than anger and idiocy—he demonstrates mental illness deserving treatment. I would never trivialize mental illness.

You may have more information than me. From my reading this man arrived late, missed his flight and expected dispensation. When this was not forthcoming he became abusive, apparently aggrieved that standard procedures were applicable to him. These are not symptoms.

I agree. I shouldn’t have make assumptions. Could just be a disruptive physician. In my experience though there is often other things going on when we see this kind of behavior.

Yet there is much about our work that makes us and others angry. I think that being professional involves recognising when and why we are angry (and passionate); and ensuring that this does not impair the care we give.
