It’s nice to see that at least states are trying to do something about it. I’m not sure how pharm companies can claim violation of 1A rights when they control prices of life saving medicines. I support any efforts to make them more accountable to their customers.

Drug company claims that these state laws violate the First Amendment are absurd. When corporations become democracies, then and only then should they be entitled to the democratic rights provided by the U.S. Constitution.

That is where the health care cost issues should start. Once we control the gross over charging, than the costs will start to decrease along with proper pharma policies in government.

Profit, profit and more profit is the only thing the pharmaceutical companies are interested in. They are run by soulless, morally bankrupt individuals.

The stock market seems to have shrugged off the “states fighting back”. The CA law SB17 for example is weak, limits disclosure to industry insiders who already know most of these details and has no enforcement mechanism. Maybe there’s more to come but for now Pharma is winning.

The Constitution is a marvelously flexible document, but it is predicated on the assumption that all parties (e.g., corporate interests or government officials) will act in good faith. Unfortunately, "good faith" seems to be scarce these days.
