She's worked at a Catholic school for 15 years. But she was put on leave after school leaders found out she was married to a woman. “They showed me they had a copy of my marriage certificate, and let me know how it was going to play out."https://nyti.ms/2PgbSfZ

and the parallels to our society and handmaids continue .sigh. I understand the angle with religion here... but cmon with all thats going on with the church this should be the least of their concerns

Well that’s understandable, she is accepting the gay lifestyle instead of fighting her urges as Christians are supposed to do. We all fail but marriage just seems like she missed a huge part of the Bible lol

Not just to me, to all Christians because there is a book that clearly states what you can and cannot do

And in that book it talks about not stealing, cheating, murdering, etc. Yet many Christians who call themselves Christian only follow the parts they like. Pedophile priests are not true Christians because of the harm they cause children.

Literally exactly. In the contract she signed with the school it explicitly stated you can’t be married to the same sex. Funny how no news outlets report that

Why am I not surprised. They'd sooner cover up the criminal acts of priests molesting children than keep a tenured employee engaged in a committed consenting adult relationship.

We love and accept her. She just can’t work at Catholic school BEING MARRIED TO ANOTHER WOMAN. Catholic faith states marriage is between man and woman only and she signed a contract that said she would honor that.

The Catholic church fires a respected guidance counselor for a same sex marriage b/c it goes against church teachings the SAME week we find it coved up for 300 male priests who abused over a thousand small children in just ONE state alone. #wtf @USCCB #roncalli

I am repulsed by that and I am sure those sick individuals will be judged by God for their sins. Does not change the words of Christ and the Bible about marriage. Those teachings are still valid. We also believe abortion is the murder of defenseless children. We won’t change that
