A driver opened his car door and knocked a 21-year-old deliveryman off his bike. “He looked down, saw me and left without even asking if I was fine."https://nyti.ms/2PfBzgS

A few years ago I was walking across Broadway at 193. With the walk light, in the crosswalk. A car *backed* into me... the driver was going to back through the intersection, apparently. Knocked me down. When I stood up the car drove off. Even being a pedestrian puts you in peril.

Tip your delivery driver! Story references a "guy in a suit" in an office. If you don't want to tip, go get the damn food yourself!

I saw a cyclist get ran over by a bus at Times Square just before Christmas 2016. At one point the bus driver almost reversed back over him! He lived I read, but often wonder what state he's in now.

In Poland we have much worse. Here, cyclists attack physically! Last week I had to fight my fists with a car driver who was an idle driver. I also ride a motorcycle and these car drivers in Poland hate it. Here you have to fight. My grandfather showed me how to use my fist!

Someone knocked off a Police officer on a bike in London yesterday. I’m guessing the driver will spend the next five to ten years in jail for attempted man-slaughter and attacking a police officer. Can’t wait for NY to have officers on bikes to see how they would react with guns.

I've heard it's basically a rite of passage to get clipped by messenger bikes as a pedestrian too. Sounds like a two way street

If no one hires undocumented immigrants, as required by law, the question of their workplace safety becomes moot. The businesses would have to pay higher salary to a smaller pool of only documented workers AND to improve their working conditions.

The cost of the restaurant take outs will increase, but it’s a small price to pay for human lives and health.
