She was arrested for shoplifting from the local Walmart. She hadn't done it. But the letters from Walmart’s lawyer, demanding she pay them, started to arrive.https://nyti.ms/2Pjd5mP

I don't understand why people willingly do business with @Walmart @WalmartToday after everything we have known and continue to learn about this company. 😒

When you get to the bottom of this you will find Walmart will absolve themselves of blame. How? By revealing they have been turning this over to outside "shoplifting collection" firms that don't care if you are guilty only in extorting money for you. Welcome to Walmart world.

What happens if you just don’t pay them? Tell them to go ahead and sue if you haven’t stolen anything.

Most of the times of you don’t fully contest and follow through exactly how you need to. You end up losing the case by default.

So they can pick you out of thin air, slap shoplifting charge on you and insist you follow through completely? Jesus!

I wouldn't expect any less from Walmart. I'm surprised they don't offer a Payday loan to pay of the charge, seems like a real money maker.
