With all of the good weed in the U.S., why would anyone have to resort to synthetic weed?

🇺🇸 needs to consider legalizing and regulating all recreational drugs to make sure they're safe for public consumption. Letting bottom dwelling criminals & criminal organizations thrive on selling harmful and toxic substances is asinine. Your war on drugs failed miserably.

Well said. Prohibition has never worked. Only exasperated a bad situation. The war on drugs is a war on the poorest and most vulnerable people in society and worse of all it’s the most racist war in history.

Do you know how many people in the world overdosed on actual marijuana on Wednesday? Zero. Do you know how many people have EVER overdosed on marijuana in the history of mankind? Zero. Time to legalize people...

It is even more disingenuous to still call this variety of random and constantly changing drugs "synthetic cannabis" since the dangerous chemicals they spray on these herbs have absolutely no relation to the synthetic cannabinoids the K2 brand once made popular so long ago.

Why “overdose?” Seems like “poisoning” is more appropriate.

These ODs were NOT from "K2". Reporting about "K2" should include many easy obtained facts that are ALWAYS omitted: How about publishing which drugs actually were consumed, what the actual product they purchased is called, what the packaging looked like, what the brand name is.

If you get some simple facts out there, the public can be warned and aware. Saying "K2 THE SYNTHETIC CANNABIS" is responsible for these overdoses while admitting in the same article that it is "opoid related" is so contradictory and poorly-researched its shameful.
