Using a political office as a means of retaliation is what dictators do. #dumpTrump

Brennan spied on Congress then lied under oath about it when Diane Feinstein questioned him. He was in charge when Russia was meddling in our elections and did nothing. Tell me again why he deserves to still hold a security clearance.

The whole reason for this is to create a council of advisers, of former CIA directors, who don’t need to go through the extensive clearance process but they can then look at current intelligence. It’s more for the benefit of the current administration.

So the great irony is that this president is denying his own CIA and other agency officials access to the wise counsel of Brennan, now, and presumably the others who are on this list.

NYT's didn't complained when Obama was removing Generals left and right in the military because they didn't support him. He removed their security clearances too.

One could also argue that removing the security clearances of intelligence officials from previous administrations increases security risks to the US - simply because the rest of the world - their agendas and operations - don't reset every time we hold a general election.

No! Trump revoked Security Clearances because the Guy was Fired, Demoted or similar. And no longer required the said Clearance. Normal Business - Don't have the job - Take back the keys.
