23, but “Banks’s” should be considered an error.

No, it’s correct, actually. Although Banks ends in “s,” it’s a singular noun (albeit one that ends in “s”) and so requires “‘s” to form the possessive.

My understanding was that the ess-izz or izz-izz sounds were to be avoided regardless. James’ ball, for example. It’s just awkward to say James’s ball, even if there’s only one James.

It's much more complicated than even that, as only a small amount of research proves. It depends on the type of noun. For proper name nouns i.e. James, it is considered unnecessary to add the 's' after the apostrophe. There isn't actually a rule, it is just what sounds right

Of course...a lot of “rules” are just style and vary from one style guide to the next, and usage changes over time. The goal should be clear communication.

Your prize if you answer correctly: you prove that you are qualified for a job that has already been offshored and/ or replaced by software... and didn't pay that well in the first place.

I feel 6 of 12 is problematic. "Campaign team" is not in not inherently singular, and depending on local usage and style. The later disagreement of plurality is an issue, but the explanation is arguably inaccurate.
