"You should come to Denmark if you dare be confronted with facts." Fox Business took a shot at Denmark. Denmark fired back.https://nyti.ms/2MMsA5b

Yeah. Having lived in New Zealand, a socialist country, for decades, and now as an immigrant and US citizen, I laugh when some Americans rail on the "evils" of socialism, often having little or no understanding of what it is, and almost no experience with it.

They positively experience it every day of their lives in countless ways but have come to only understand it in demonized terms from the gop. Can you imagine their shock & dismay if someone told them their trash collection & schools were socialism?

Indeed, and the local public library...which usually run with a good deal of efficiency and provide a valuable service to many communities.

It's funny how some American media sometimes seems to forget that other countries are real places populated by real people. We can hear you, you know. :)

Another thing: graduation rates are better in DK than in the US. Students graduate more quickly - and with far less debt to their names. So maybe free education is something you might want to consider when you vote later this year.

They are all Danes. In a country of less than 5 Million, Denmark is not a multicultural country. All Danes realize they must excel to survive as a country and as a people. Danes are a proud, prosperous people because they are educated and on the same page. Unlike the US.

My take is that a welfare system like ours makes it tangible that as a society, we are all connected - whether we want to be or not. This makes us conscious of our dependence on each other which, in turn, creates a high level of social trust which is essential for success

Danes love facts. Never engage with a Dane unless you know your facts and if you cite percentages, be prepared to know them to the thousandths. Crap like, “between 40-80%” will get you laughed out of the conversation! 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

Anyone with half a brain knows that democratic socialism has been the only way for America to go since the 1960s. It doesn't mean a loss of rule of law, or loss of patriotism, it just means we take care of each other and we all improve our quality of life.

The US is nothing short of third world compared to Europe. If you had really been to Europe, (obviously not) you'd know
