"I’m going to keep my head held up high and stay strong and go to school. And won’t let those bullies drag me down." A 12-year-old transgender student in a small Oklahoma town was violently threatened after a Facebook post by a classmate’s parenthttps://nyti.ms/2MMrAOA

This poor soul needs mental health treatment not hormones. This is a form of child abuse. It’s disgusting

Hormones are the treatment. Trans people feel that their bodies don't match their mind, so hormones, surgery, name change, pronouns and/our outfit can all be part of the treatment, to make them feel better. Is that not the goal of mental health treatment?

12 is when hormones start to kick in. It is pretty obvious that those also effect the brain, as anyone who has raised a kid knows.

The photo is the girl's mother. If you read the entire story, this family has already moved from Texas because of death threats against their daughter and her older brother. It's unacceptable that adults should act this way toward a child.

Do you even see how tragic your comment is? Literally contributing to the problem whew. A 12-year-old is terrified, wtf is wrong with people

The problem is not with people choosing to live in REALITY. The harm is done is when people play this fantasy with children or adults and expect the world to conform to such idea.

You consider it a fantasy but at the end of the day, who fuckin cares? What threat does this 12-year-old pose to society by wearing dresses? What burden does she give the world by asking to be treated like a girl? Why the fuck does it bother people so much that they’re willing

Ago threaten a child, and then when other people see that threat, they’re more concerned about what pronouns were used in the article about the threat. She’s 12-years-old ffs let her live her life, I promise you won’t be affected.

Here's why that's a problem. People aren't stupid. If that person wishes to live life as a transgender. That is that person's issue. However, when that individuals wishes to make others do the same, many times, he/she is resisted. If a person who couldn't drive think they can...

Love hurts. Sometimes. Grace (beautiful name one of the greatest names in history), loving someone is sometimes about letting them know when they are at fault. Jesus inspired an entire book telling those whom He loves how sinful they are. See?

I was “the fat kid” at school. I was bullied worse than anyone.....until I met a transgender kid and a gay kid at ages 12 and 15, respectively. ...and conservatives/Repubs actually believe these people “choose” their “lifestyle”🙄 Why aren’t THESE people treated like outcasts?

If I put on a dress, I'd be a guy with a dress on. If a trans person took that same dress off, then you got to see a naked lady.

I have lived in Oklahoma all but 1 year of my life. She is very brave returning to school. Achille has a 510 population, she would be much safer in a large town with a bigger school. If any administrator or staff treat her badly, fire them!!
