And I might extend that question to the surreal concept that confession and some farcical penance absolves you of “sins”.

I was born and raised Catholic in Central Pennsylvania. You can’t defend what was done. I quit going to the Catholic Church a while back.

I don’t understand why people around the world are not denouncing and walking away from Catholic Churches en masse. They’ve done nothing to earn congregants loyalty or respect nor do they seem in any hurry to do so

I’m with Jesus on this. “Whoever receives 1 such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes 1 of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:4-6

300 Priests. 70 years. In Pennsylvania alone. The requirement of celibacy was established in order to gain wealth & land by the Vatican, as the Kings & Feudal lords placed their “excess” male children with inheritances into the priesthood. Without heirs, the Church gained it.

And now, with a job that requires celibacy, we see a global pattern of closeted homosexuality & orgies within the Catholic Priesthood, followed by a mentally broken type of people attracted to jobs that have close proximity to children - Pedophiles. Thousands of children abused

The Catholic Church’s culture of Secrecy and Celibacy has bred an environment that has abused countless children for *centuries*, and created a recurring cycle where the Abused becomes the next Abuser.

Of course. That is their standard M.O. Any cases revealed thus far are just the tip of the iceberg. The Catholic Church is nothing more than a global paedophile ring. #CatholicChurch #Childabuse #Antitheism

So is anyone going to jail or nah? Sounds like it's about time to start taxing the churches, so they can cover the cost of their priests prison sentences.

Unfortunately, #Pennsylvania is not the only location were children got abused. Last year there was a report about "tens of thousands of children sexually abused" by Catholic Priests in Australia, some were only 4 yrs old 😱😢: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/14/world/australia/australia-sexual-abuse-children.html … #Pennsylvaniagate
