Lyme disease is the most commonly reported vector-borne illness in the United States, so why isn’t there a vaccine for it? Turns out there used to be one, but it was taken off the market more than 15 years ago.https://nyti.ms/2nAKcpM

Fun fact: there are many different branches of science, and thousands of scientists in each. They can’t all be working on the same thing at the same time. Progress would literally come to a halt in all fields but whichever specific one you want them to all work on.

My son is being treated for Lymes right now. I'd love a vaccine, but want it to be thoroughly tested. I really don't mind waiting a little while longer if it means chronic arthritis isn't a side effect. I read recently we're very close to an effective, safe one.
