How can he win a "Democratic Primary " while he's not a registered Democrat? 😏

Because party insiders are worthless. He is the most popular politician because he doesn't take corporate PAC money. The DNC has decided to take fossil fuel money. How do you trust to fight to stop climate change?

Trump claimed he took no PAC money either and was busted for running an illegal SuperPac from Trump Tower with Corey Lewandowski. Washington Post Hadas Gold was working on that story before it was made public.

I should stipulate. The story was quashed. Cheri Jacobus was blacklisted from CNN for discussing this. If Bernie really cares about the democratic party. He should join and be team player for positive change, not this semi shady business.

This was for his US Senate run, not President. The fact that people need to be told this is sad.

Not really, he is just his own vote if he is independent. He just has more flexibility to represent his region better.

I ask myself why run as a Democrat if he chooses to run as an Independent? Is it to leave Vermont Democrats without a voice? I can’t respect BS for this action.

I know. But why run as a Democrat unless the goal is to disenfranchise Vermont Democrats a vote in Congress?

As someone who was a Vermont Democrat the two other times he did this, I can say most of them don't feel disenfranchised. They're voting for the person, not the party.

No. He doesn’t get to play it both ways. Dude wants open pres primaries based on the idea that closed primaries are disenfranchising people then makes a deal with the Dem party in VT to ensure he faces no dem in any election where his actual job is on the line. He’s a hypocrite.

This is utterly insane, Bernie would crush any dem in vermont the status quo only came about because a dead last dem who bernie beat 2-1 spoiled Bernie's first congress race in the 1988 election causing the republican to win by 3 points there is no open primary conflict here

if your refering to the senate race he is running as an independent he just gives VT dems a chance to avoid a weak dem running as a spoiler like in 1988 If it's about the Pres race come back to me once Ds & Rs remove restrictions meant to keep 3rd parties out of Pres debates
