And that hurts all our children! Vote NO!
-
A monopoly and no choice is what hurts all our children
-
If you have the means you have choices. Vouchers harmed Michigan public ed and the kids who feel it are the low income kids and children with disabilities
-
I’ll take competition any day Louise. Citing the uneven experiment w/ for-profit charters in Michigan as a reason to retain a monopoly nationwide is unconvincing. And people with more assets & income will always have more choices in all societies.
-
Tax churches and then we can talk about vouchers
-
Doesn’t sound like churches or their schools are Michigan’s problem Louise.
-
Racism and socioeconomic prejudice built into the way public schools are/were funded is also to blame. I went to a magnet Chicago public school with the Daleys. My school was well funded at the expense of schools in prodomintly Black/ Hispanic neighborhoods.

This has nothing to do with folks wanting to send their kids to religious schools but everything to do with subsidizing private schools to the detriment of public schools.
-
