Americans care about being nice. How do we disagree with our neighbors about guns?https://nyti.ms/2P5HogY

Nice people don't call soldiers who run around the world killing millions of innocent people heroes. Nice people don't support bombing of poor people because they are communist or Muslim. Nice people don't accuse others for things they did. America is not nice

You live and let live. You don't call your neighbor a "terrorist" because he has a different point of view than you. This shouldn't be so hard, folks.

'Americans care about being nice'. What a hypocritical statement about the nation which has caused millions of deaths around the world since WWII and is viewed as the greatest threat to World peace we have ever seen.

Everyone has the right to pursue their dream here in the USA, remember? There's nothing illegal about what they do, and it's MORE than protected by our Constitution. It's like alcohol, LGBT, swapping bathrooms. You oppose it quietly like Americans who disagree to the above....

Well you can start with being cordial and making a sound argument. When I talk to liberals, most of the time I'm shouted down, called names, and never presented with a reasonable argument. If anyone wants to discuss, lets start with this fact:https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/07/27/new-evidence-confirms-what-gun-rights-advocates-have-been-saying-for-a-long-time-about-crime/?utm_term=.81265d0c972c …

I've found that the best policy is not talking to liberals. I don't need that aggravation.

I hear you but then we don't have a free exchange of ideas. This is what (most) liberals want, to eliminate the conversation altogether. If conservatives sat back silently, we would not have the #WalkAway movement trending.

USA is becoming more like the Democratic Republic of Congo than the United States of America. Bikers at a ritzy golf club in New Jersey. Wow. The Sons of Anarchy join the Sopranos for a summer outing... The new Trump America is a cesspool.

We don't use common sense, so gun violence will never stop. I don't think money and a piece of paper with the second amendment written on it should be more important than human life. When I was in school this wasn't an issue at all, never even crossed our minds.

generally, it starts with the neighbor that has guns waving them around and shouting threats, and ends with someone screaming and bleeding on the ground

How about this: if you want to own a gun, then own one. If you don’t want a gun, then don’t own one. Realize we are all equal and shouldn’t seek to criminalize each other.

Americans -revisit your idea of everyone having the right to carry arms. The world has changed since 1776. Would you also demand that there be stables along fifth avenue to stall your horses? Build a future where schools are a safe place . Probably were safer in 1776!
