        I think this was a difficult lesson for me to learn while transitioning from my first job to the next. The first one had such a family vibe. However the second one was much better for my career, but was missing the vibe. It took a while to realize that it wasn't an issue.

        The biggest issue with "We're like family here" is those who take it seriously and think that they should be babied and coddled (hello some millenials!).. Work is a business, not family.
