Here’s the REST of the story... A drunken man banged on his car door while trying to gain entry. The coach in fear for his life, punched the guy to remove him from his vehicle. The drunken man in his inebriated state lost control and fell and struck his head. He died later.

He let someone’s words get to him. Now he gets to sit in a cell thinking how he could have acted differently.
-
It wasn’t words. I hope you don’t sit on any juries. Please examine the facts of the case. It could happen to you.
-
I saw a video on the news and it looked like the coach got out of his car and tracked down the guy? Do u have any info on why the coach got out of his car?
-
You know who else tracked down a guy? George Zimmerman....
-
After the police dispatcher told him not to.

I have a cousin who got in a fight at party years ago and the other guy ended up dying. He got 7 yrs for involuntary manslaughter. His sentencing judge agreed he was only defending himself, got kind of a raw deal, but had no choice to impose a jail sentence based on guidelines.

That is his story and even if true why run away why not trying to help, victim was no longer a threat....if even ever was! Dead man don’t talk, so we have to look at the fact.....fact is: he run away and left helpless man to die on the sidewalk like a roadkill!!!

Thug? His background? You smear his life without even knowing the facts! That is sad. No violence in his life, no criminal history, nothing!I just don’t buy self defense! He was in the car and the victim was on foot! He could drove away, but he CHOSE to step out and punch him!Video!

If some drunk is banging on my car I’d either drive away or call the cops.Only a goon looking for trouble exits the car and lays an easy target out. This guy punched a drunk dude knowing full well he would win that fight. Jailtime & loss of job.

Agreed. Well spoken!

My mom picked us up from daycamp in 1971 & I still remember screaming in terror as a drunken man was at our car door pressed against the glass. One women, three toddlers. I can imagine the coach’s fear. Just bcuz a person is white does not mean he’s not going to do you harm.pic.twitter.com/7z4ojuaWkh

A shame his response was to hit someone in the face as hard as humanly possible and then not follow through to see that the man wasn’t going to die alone on the street. Is this our default response to someone making a mistake? This is how we treat one another?
