A day after Elon Musk said that he might try to convert Tesla into a private company, Wall Street banks raced to figure out how such a transaction might work and how they might get a piece of the actionhttps://nyti.ms/2ATC5xN

Does that sound like “Funding secured” (which must have occurred prior to Musk sending that tweet for his statement to be truthful).

Exactly. This article is evidence for the *OPPOSITE* of #FundingSecured !

why would any of the small shareholders sell? Musk would spend $20 billion just to be de-listed? Just so he doesn't have to report and it's harder to short? Just make cars, man.

Why? He could just issue new shares (except for the "obvious" reasons). Market is there, both in fanboys and like we just saw with foreign funds wanting to buy into $tsla, but instead had to buy shares in open market. This whole situation is beyond stupid.

They Can’t. And that’s the whole point. They hate Elon for the same reason they hate Trump. They are not in control and they can’t stand it.

Banks can’t touch this with a ten foot pole. Not because they don’t want to, but because they can’t. Good luck lending to a negative OCF company. This is not the funding Elon was talking about.

Lol. "How can we get a piece of that money pit?" Don't think so. The whores on Wall Street will facilitate anything when there are transaction fees involved, but they know better than to put their own money into a sinkhole.
