Men have always been obsessed with the fantasy that they could give life to a woman instead of the other way around — Adam’s rib, Pygmalion’s statue and Andrew McCarthy’s “Mannequin.” The point is not just to create women but to control them. https://nyti.ms/2OV4wyj pic.twitter.com/G9LFuUcLvx

Voice-controlled assistants like Siri and Alexa have feminine voices. The cyborgification of women online has created new standards to adhere to, ones that are increasingly costly and time-consuming to fulfill. https://nyti.ms/2OS5c7L pic.twitter.com/QRGMM3jvjI

This is a very good topic to focus on. AI is being developed by mostly men and they will unconsciously or subconsciously incorporate sex bias and gender roles into our future. More women are needed in this field ASAP.

Real Headline “Sponsored by our new man-hating, race baiting Sarah Jeong” psst. She is the one who “hates white males” remember? Nothing to see her, no harm having her on Editorial Board. Exhibit A.

I'm 99% sure the dudes who want robot women just want to have sex with them and that's about it. I don't think it's a control thing.

They want sex with something that can’t or won’t say no, or a real woman would be fine and there’d be no need for looking further afield.

Wait, is this the reason women buy their sex toys? Or do they buy them NOT to have sex with them? Enlightened dildo purchase? Do you have to fall in love first? Yes, men will buy toys just to have sex with. You'll have to deal with that. Good luck!

I'm a lesbian, where men are getting their rocks off is no problem of mine. You can all switch to robots without it inconveniencing me in the slightest!

The Terminator franchise is about MALE cyborgs being controlled by people. Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein was about a MALE monster, controlled by a person. (WRITTEN BY A FEMALE) Stop pretending to psychoanalyze things when you’re stupid.
