@MayorofLondon @CarolinePidgeon - Not one accusation of “ protectionism”.... just good old common sense... but all we have is the Mayor and Govt saying it’s up the the “other one” to cap numbers, more lies and bull...t 🤔🤔🤔

If the @MayorofLondon can introduce an English test if he can introduce an age limit & if he can introduce a telephone contact 4 PHO , why the hell can’t he introduce a cap on Drivers numbers

A suspension of driver and vehicle licences, as happened in the Suburban sectors of the cab trade, due to unmet demand. No capping involved. This wouldn’t need new legislation as precedent already been set within the London taxi trade. . @TfLTPH @MayorofLondon

Good, @Uber and @Lyft drivers have been paralyzing traffic with their distracted driving and constant double parking. Good riddance.

Hahaha what. Dude I’ve seen yellow cabs stop dead in the middle of the road with no warning whatsoever to pick up a fare or drop somebody off.

At first I thought Uber was a great idea. But, And there’s always a BUT.. It comes out. That the drivers are being ripped off. And that was the plan all along. Well Stuff Uber and the others. Bring in those regulations. That protect workers and the city.

Yep, sure sucks that the consumer now has to pay enough for their driver to be able to feed and clothe themselves...

I have family in New York and am often there. As for something relevant, I guess you're ok that drivers don't make a living wage. Enjoy your cheap chauffeur!

How about the taxi industry improves their prices and services instead? There's a novel idea. No use crying over losing out to more modern options like Uber and Lyft. Or better yet, the city could improve the MTA so people can actually get from point A to B without massive delays

Exactly! Classic government move .. protect the small class of people that do their jobs poorly and fail to adapt to change so that the politicians can get their votes and stay in office. Meanwhile consumers get screwed. Funny it rings a lot like university and tenure systems
