Like the kind of beast that could conceive of tazing a 7yr old would even know what one looked like. I can just imagine the defence: “She may have been 3 yrs old but that rattle looked like a gun! I felt threatened!” Ah, that’s alright then! And it was a black baby? Case closed!

Rather than using a taser on an 11 year old, a sensible starting point would have been to ascertain why the child was stealing food. Just because force can be used doesn’t mean it should.

So it’s okay for a cop to taser a 7 year old but parents get arrested for letting their seven year olds play in a park by themselves?

The officer himself was on drugs, I hear he suspected the kid to have Shoplifted food...he should have bought the girl food instead of using that electronic thing on her.

I’m old enough to remember when tasers were first introduced, the idea behind them being to use them in certain situations instead of guns. Use as a compliance tool wasn’t part of the deal. That’s basically what they’ve turned out to be, however.
