With all the recent publicity about the impact of global warming on the world you would think that anyone with an ounce of intelligence would understand the negative impact the rollback of car pollution rules

It takes years to design new cars. The auto industry knows Trump will be gone soon. America will regain its sanity. Pollution, fuel efficiency regulations will be brought back, and business will continue.

That’s a joke right. Just wait until tax season. I will eat popcorn and read all the meltdowns people will be having once they realize that the salt deduction is capped at 10k. So many in California and so on will have to actually start to really pay federal taxes.

People in CA have already “really been paying federal taxes”. In fact, CA pays more into the federal government than we get back in benefits from it. Unlike many red states.

False. Under state and local tax deductions you paid less federal taxes. Its now capped at 10k. You will see at tax time. Just wait

Not false. And yes, state and local taxes were previously not taxed federally, but you know they’re deducted AFTER federal taxes, right? Besides that, you’d have to be making a huge amount of money to pay more than 10k in state taxes. The state tax rate is about 1/2 vs federal.

I do not think you understand how it has worked in many blue states for many years. State and local taxes are sky high currently in blue states. The average worker in those areas pays insane amounts in taxes. So they opt to pay federal taxes at the end of the year like many do

That’s not how taxes work. Payroll taxes are deducted from each paycheck for both federal and state. You can’t “opt to pay at the end of the year”. Even if you could, it wouldn’t alter how much you owed. Taxes are based on your salary, not your take home pay.

Actually you can opt to pay taxes at the end of the year. And for those that did not they got it back in tax return. Salt deductions worked great for a long time. I am sorry you are unaware of how serious this is to blue states. They are fearing they will have to cut taxes
