"It boomerangs," Paul Ryan said of being too critical of President Trump. "He goes in the other direction, so that's not effective." He added, "The pissing match doesn't work."https://nyti.ms/2M32ldN

The consequence of avoiding a "pissing match" with Trump is that @SpeakerRyan lost his soul.

...perhaps there is a little money involved @SpeakerRyan ? You know....for avoiding “pissing matches” with Donald. Ryan instead of doing your job - to check and balance - by standing up to a Con- actually capitulation and enabling of Donald means you do nothing on our behalf.

It’s not a match when you’re the only one getting pissed on.

Mr Ryan, you took health care away from millions, added billions to the deficit, gave the rich a tax cut, removed environmental protections, protected the NRA and their agenda, refused to call out DJT's racism & hate speak, allowed children to be taken from parents. Nice legacy

He sold out America for a tax cut for rich people. History will not remember Ryan kindly.

Being critical of Trump works for @MichaelAvenatti. Indeed, @realDonaldTrump doesn’t dare touch him. Isn’t this, therefore, simply a concession by @SpeakerRyan that he’s not a very effective communicator?

Passing legislation that harms the American people, knowing full well that he will sign everything put in front of him, is hardly what I'd call a pissing match.
