A marker honoring Emmett Till in Mississippi was shot over a hundred times. 35 days after it was replaced, it was shot at again. “It’s hatred. It’s all I can say.”https://nyti.ms/2KxQ1gD

I just don't understand this.😒 We can reasonably disagree about most issues, but even if everything they said was true then a 13 yr old boy was beaten and tortured and shot for whistling at a white woman. Even if he did that (and he prob didn't) how could anyone be ok w/ that?

The woman who made those accusations admitted she lied.

i said that it prob wasn't true. but that's beside the point. even if it was true, what kind of monster does that to a 13 yr old kid????

I didn't claim you had not said that. And yes, i agree, who would do that to a child?

They should start putting cameras in the area. Next person that does it goes to jail.

And the signs that have been shot up should remain, making the memorial increasingly larger with every subsequent iteration. That'll surely get their goat.

Make it bullet proof and ricochet bullets back at the shooter. Should be easy enough to identify them after that.

So sad they distort the message of Christ for evil and personal gain down there. Christ was referring to them in Matthew 7:21-23
