These co’s are swooping in, creating entirely different affordability landscapes in places where there used to be socioeconomic diversity. The least they can do is wiggle their techy arses out the door and spend some of their $160k starting salary in the hood FCS.

Maybe if a 160K salary actually meant anything in San Francisco...but considering 116K classifies you as low-income now...it’s probably not wise to buy an overpriced lunch if you don’t have too. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Is that really necessary? Not enough tourism in SF? Why the beef with tech companies' cafeterias?🤔

This is mainly about Mid-Market Street which is not a very touristy area.

In that case, the local gov should be looking at more than just local restaurants to 'revitalize' the neighborhood. Like cultural/entertainment venues, events, etc. Banning tech companies' good efforts is the lazy way out. Don't force people/dynamics. Create more opportunities.

Agreed. The problems run much deeper than some insular tech-workers.
