Instead of being about actual health, "wellness" has turned into "a false antidote to the fear of modern life and death," writes Dr. Jen Gunterhttps://nyti.ms/2KrWKZw

This had promise, but went flat. Criticism of conspiracy theorists was necessary, but too much time was spent on them. Also, not that baseless claims should be believed...but a really lazy dismissal of theories, considering medicine and big pharma’s seedy past (and present).

Totally agree! She also completely misses the point that the big appeal of wellness is that it is about prevention & lifestyle as opposed to running to the doc for a new pill at the first sign of distress. What else does the med establishment offer?

seriously? How many more times must we hear about people and their "Mental Health" woes?? Surely a little more Mental WELLNESS would be a breath of fresh air. A lot less Rx "mental health" pills, a lot more nature combined with safe food & water for optimum mental being

If you don’t remove the toxins out your mindset, removing the toxins out your body don’t matter. The mind is forerunner.

Why illustrate this with pictures of #yoga? There's solid evidence that yoga is helpful in easing symptoms for a number of things. At the very least it qualifies as physical activity.

What a excellent article that needs to be widely read, particularly in light of the recent profile of Gwyneth Paltrow, purveyor of junk science, superstition, and false remedies. Sad it was relegated to the Styles section.

"Many people — women especially — have long been marginalized and dismissed by medicine, but the answer does not lie in predatory conspiracy theories, a faux religion or expensive magic." - So it begs the question, where are the answers?
