Me, too. Glad he didn't. Reminds me of how worried he was that George Harrison wdnt talk much. Cavett was on late, but i cdnt stand carson. Cavett liked musicians. I will never forget taping the george interview on my new cassette player. Ha.

Rest assured one of your newest editors wants him dead and would enjoy being cruel to him. NYT the official paper of racists.

I watched his show all the time, and had a great deal of respect for his guests and him. Now all the talk show hosts are simply shills for the entertainment industry.

I worked with Mr. Cavett in the 80's when he filled in at talk radio station WMCA. After each show, he told stories about his TV program, never suggesting that his best days were behind him. I was impressed with his humor, humility and kindness. He will always be a hero to me.

Imagine how unpopular Mr Cavett would be if he espoused the type of racist rhetoric @sarahjeong does? Never mind, Sarah Jeong would just eliminate him because of his age and race.
