In 2014, GoPro founder Nicholas Woodman donated $500 million to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Four years on, there is almost no trace of the Woodman Foundation, or that $500 million.https://nyti.ms/2M2qBwr

This is an odd line of attack. The Woodman case is unique because the stock plummeted. But other than secrecy of donations, there doesn't seem to be any tangible malicious upside to this. The tax benefits argument is nonsense - they're still losing hundreds of millions.

Funny how all the Leftists in Silicon Valley - who supports the Democrats, are so eager to keep all their money to themselves. Remember this the next time you praise these people for fighting for social justice and diversity.

When you become a rich bastard, you become a real bastard. Some Michael Cohen type Tax Lawyer gave him (Woodman) that advice, simple set up a foundation and rob it all back. The beauty is the Government has no power to stop you.

Honestly, how would you or anyone really know? It takes one smart person x amount of time to create a computer crime. Then it takes 10 people 10X amount of time to solve and prove it. And the money is still gone.
