Hong Kong? We went for a less known hotel, the room was the size of the twin bed. There was just enough space from the bed's front to open the door. Wasn't luxurious nor cheap, but the Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China is so beautiful, it's worth it.

Chicago is an amazing value. The L is affordable and there's so many free or low cost things to do and food trucks to eat off of you can have a great time without feeling like you're penny pinching.
