Well this contradicts most of Deuteronomy and Leviticus. But props to the Pope for understanding his god is not infallible.

Respectfully, Jesus clearly stated that he came to save us from the oppressive rule following of Deuteronomy and Leviticus. Some Christians just didn't get the message. I'm glad this pope has!

That doesn’t mean he has to agree. people need to look deep deep into the science of evolution.. it’s a joke and it has no credence whatsoever.

Judges and Prosecutors who are staunch and faithful Catholics, will have to reconcile their faith with the discharging of their professional responsibilities more earnestly now. What are the implications for pure, unfiltered justice, in this new dispensation?

Sending perpetrators to prison is not justice in your point of view?

When the law prescribes a different remedy - the death penalty- commensurate with the weight of the transgression, it isn’t justice to set it aside, on account of religious conviction. Of course it is justice when the prescribed sanction is a prison sentence.

Justice transcends the law. It is something our imperfect and evolving laws aim toward, not the other way around.

He is not the real Pope. The real Pope is Benedetto XVI, who is locked away. Also he should stop playing politics.

The pope can declare all he likes, the Catholic church has no authority worldwide with the exception of the Vatican. This is a religion that protects priests who have committed child sexual abuse, really need to clean up their own backyard first .

It is true they need to tackle the sexual abuse scandals and levy justice. But that doesn't exempt the Pope from continuing work in other areas.
