I worked in the funeral industry and I'm all for talking about death openly. However as someone recently bereaved I don't want to be reminded of the 870 degree temperature of the Crematorium. Such bad taste.

I would have to agree. When making choices about what to do when your loved one dies you do not want visuals. People think on the day or preparation they know they will be cremated on that day. That visual will haunt people.

see overseas due to lack of space cremation has become the norm. In some countries in the former EU you are buried for a few yrs. according to what your fam can pay usually 1 on top of the other but then dug up cremated then given back to the living members.
-
here in
we have plenty of land and although cremation is still the cheaper option if you are destitute the state will only pay for burial in case their was a crime that occurred or need to excavate or they can find a fam member to h.u. for burial costs -
this brings us to torte reform, the state of Illinois will not cremate you without fam consent if you are destitute. They frankly do not want the hassle. so you go into public aid burial which is more expensive but less legal liability.
-
prob being w/ cremation you nev get back all of your
1 Once again a profit driven industry that will nev go out of business We have all spilled flour or powder before not a
big enough to get all of it Plus some crematoriums are just hustlers & will give you anybodies ashes

I knew a mortician and they’re not lying about them having a dark sense of humor. I asked him about his job once and he told me “I love fat people, they go up like a dry Christmas tree. It’s those skinny old grandmas you really gotta turn up the heat on.”
