He harassed and threatened the people outside the store. Perhaps to deliberately cause a confrontation justifying pulling his weapon. The person who accosted him had an equally valid self-defense interest. Until he was murdered.

Bullshit! He pointed out they were parked in a handicap spot and they just didn't like being called out on it. They showed to standard response for the entitled mentality that so many are expressing these days. You can say anything you want in America, freedom of speech!

You are clearly not acquainted with the reporting on the issue. Even the NRA is not willing to describe it as any kind of open and shut case. You’re just plying an agenda, which might explain your low follower count after two years in your current Twitter account. Be gone.

From what I know of the case, the sheriff is saying that he followed Florida law correctly, and that if people think the outcome was bad, they should blame the Stand Your Ground Law, not him. I personally don't think laws like that should exist.

Technically the Sherriff is correct that state authorities can swoop in. There’s very little doubt as to why they have not as yet.

The guy should be charged! This is not stand your ground! It was not life threatening He was pushed down to the ground! No further attack took place! He could call the cops! Using his gun was uncalled for! The Sheriff should either charge him or resign his post as he seems unfit

What happen to “you throw the 1st punch you go to jail”? Sheriff and his likes are abusing “Stand your Ground”They are turning FL into the Wild Wild SE! It was NOT a life threatening situation! You don’t kill people because you got pushed to the ground! 1st Degree Manslaughter!

Stand your ground legislation ignores the basic principles of reasonable force. A shove doesn't equal discharging a weapon resulting in lethal force.
